Soleora Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the browser extension "Soleora" (codename) provided by [TBD: operator name] ("we"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

• An AI-native new-tab and search experience (natural-language queries)
• Ad and tracker blocking
• A reward ledger (records of future revenue sharing)
• A future revenue-sharing program (Section 6)

We may change, add, or discontinue features without prior notice.

• AI features run on an API key you obtain and enter yourself (Anthropic / OpenAI / Google).
• Obtaining and managing the key, and any usage fees charged by the provider, are your responsibility.
• Use of each provider is also subject to that provider's terms.
• AI output may be inaccurate or inappropriate. You use it at your own responsibility; we do not warrant its accuracy or usefulness.

• Ad blocking filters known ads/trackers by a predefined rule set and does not guarantee that all of them are blocked.
• Some sites may not display correctly; you can disable blocking in settings.

• Violating laws or public order and morals
• Infringing the rights of us, other users, or third parties
• Manipulating the service or inflating the reward ledger (e.g. generating fraudulent interaction records with automated tools)
• Reverse engineering beyond what the law permits
• Any conduct we deem inappropriate

This section concerns a feature planned for Phase 3+ and is not active in Phase 0. On launch we will revise these Terms with finalized, professionally reviewed clauses.

• Overview: We plan to share part of ad revenue with users via Amazon gift codes (issued by Amazon through the Incentives API).

• Nature of the entitlement: Amounts in the ledger indicate an expected future reward, not a fixed claim or redeemable balance. Timing and amount are not guaranteed.

• Compliance: The program design will be finalized after professional review under the Payment Services Act, Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, and Premiums and Representations Act. [TBD]

Intellectual property in the service and its software, trademarks, logos, and content belongs to us or the rightful owners. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you.

• We do not warrant the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
• The service is provided "as is."
• Except for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the service. [TBD: confirm scope under the Consumer Contract Act]
• We are not responsible for leakage/misuse of API keys you enter or fees charged by AI providers.

• You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling it.
• We may suspend the service without prior notice if you violate these Terms.

We may change these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the store listing or within the service.

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
